Todoist or not to do this? Do it.

If you have listened to any of my H.O.W. workshops, read anything that I’ve written, or watched my Instagram Live Takeovers for FabFitFun, you know how much I absolutely love Todoist. This digital to-do list tool is critical to how I find time, and I truly believe it’s the best product in the sea of such products. To celebrate my recent partnership and appointment as a Todoist Ambassador, allow me to recount why I carry such affection for it:

  • With one account, you can access Todoist on your mobile device, tablet, and in your web browser. No matter where you are, you can add, revise, or mark a task completed (my favorite!).
  • It integrates with Spark, which is the app I use to aggregate my email accounts. Any email that I receive through Spark can be added as a task in Todoist with 1 or 2 clicks. It’s even easier than copying and pasting a task from email to your to-do list.
  • Todoist allows for multiple lists (or projects in Todoist parlance), and you can — wait for it — color code the lists! I have lists for work, H.O.W., personal, my networking group, and anything else that I might need to organize, and each one has a separate color. (This might be TMI, but I set up the email accounts in Spark that correspond to Todoist lists with the same colors.)
  • It will autofill dates, times, and recurrences with just a few keystrokes. For example, if I want to add “Check website downloads” to my H.O.W. list, and I want that to occur monthly, I simply need to type “every month” after the task . Todoist will automatically make it a recurring task every month with no other buttons to push.
  • You can track your daily or weekly productivity levels with its built-in analytics. It also offers you the ability to use what Todoist calls “Karma.” The more tasks you complete, the higher your level of Karma. I’m currently a Master and am 3,965 tasks from Grand Master. The next level, Enlightened, is the highest and requires completion of 50,000 tasks. (I’m just going to assume that my status as a Highly Organized Woman is actually a higher level of enlightenment.)

When you combine Todoist with my strategies to find time, you will be able to accomplish everything — and still have time to color code the rest of your life. Learn more at Todoist.
